The Blue Ridge Chapter of WCR Bras For A Cause fundraiser will be held on April 1, 2011 and it is shaping up to be a don't miss event!
This will be the first year of Bras For A Cause. When we first started putting this fundraiser together we had no idea of what to expect. This is a unique event for our area and we wondered how people would react to the concept. Well, we could not have gotten a better reception for our first year.
The event consists of bra entries, each one decorated around a theme and shown off by a male model. The croud will vote for their favorite and the bras will be auctioned off via a live auction. It will be a night of pure fun for a worthy cause. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the new positive image boutique at the Emily Couric Cancer Center.
Community support has been amazing. We have 22 bra entries from area real estate companies, mortgage companies, title company, and even the Derby Dames among others. Many sponsors have generously donated. And tickets are almost sold out!
