Charlottesville Goes Green - Urban Places Rural Spaces Art Exhibit

Charlottesville goes green with the Urban Places Rural Spaces art exhibit.

The exhibit was created from a joint effort by local artists, the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, the Piedmont Environmental Council and the Charlottesville Community Design Center.

According to the invitation from the Piedmont Environmental Council the Urban Places Rural Spaces exhibit  " uses words, images and interactive elements to explore the relationship between urban and rural environments in Charlottesville and Albemale. The exhibit features large-scale photographs by Robert Llewellyn as part of an installation designed by local artists."

The opening reception will take place on Friday May 1 from 5:30-7:30 during First Fridays at the Comminity Design Center near the Pavillion on the Downtown Mall.  The exhibit will run from May 1 to June 5, Monday - Friday 9:00-5:00 and is free and open to the public.
