Saint Anne's-Belfield is a co-ed school encompassing grades preschool-12. The school is composed of two campuses with a total of 49 acres. STAB is committed to fostering a lifelong love of learning as it prepares its students for admission to top universities.
The Covenant School is a non-denominational Christian, coed school ranging from pre-K through grade 12. Covenent has two campuses and is geared toward preparing its students for college while instilling Christian values.
Tandem Friends School features college prep within the framework of Quaker values. Tandem values the fostering of independent thinking and serves grades 5-12.
The Charlottesville Catholic School consistes of grades pre-K through 8. Although the Catholic School is based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, it includes children of all faiths. The school is dedicated creating a lifelong love of learning in its students while teaching Christian values at the same time.
The Blue Ridge School is a boys college prep school which is located on 800 acres in Dyke, Virginia 20 miles outside of Charlottesville. Blue Ridge is a boarding school serving boys in grades 9-12. One of the strenghts of the school is its personalized instruction.
The Charlottesville Waldorf School encompasses grades N/K-8. It is located on a 13 acre campus and is based on the Waldorf philosophy. The Waldorf school believes that children learn is definate stages whih should not be hurried while embracing a philosophy of care for the environment.
Fork Union Military Academy is a college prep school for boys in grades 6-12. FUMA uses the military philosophy within a Christian framework to provide an environment for learning and personal growth.
The Free Union Country School is a school for preschool - grade 5. Free Union offers the opportunity for parent involvement, with small classes and a comunity atmosphere.
The Renaissance School is a college preparatory high school. The mission of the Renaissance School is to create Renaissance thinkers through its interdisciplinary program.
The Miller School is a coed day and boarding school for students in grades 8-12. Situated on a campus of 1,600 acres, the Miller School is located 12 miles west of Charlottesville.
The Village School is a middle school for girls. One of the missions of the Village School is to provide an environment conducive to the development of learning and self-confidence.
Montessori Pantops Mountain Community School has students who range from 6-24 months (with an adult), toddler community (18 mo -3 years), to Pre K - grade 8. The school is based around the Montessori special classroom environment. The aim of the Montessori Pantops is to instill a lifelong love of learning in its students.
