Celebrate New Years Eve Charlottesville VA Style

Join in the Charlottesville VA New Years Eve celebration and attend First Night Virginia.happy new year

The weather has turned warm in Charlottesville Virginia just in time for the annual First Night Virginia New Years Eve Celebration.  First Night is a family oriented New Years Eve celebration that centers around the Charlottesville downtown pedestrian mall.  With the purchase of a wristband you will be able to gain admittance to the wide selection of performances in locations within walking distance of the mall.  The younger children's activities will begin at 3:00 and culminate in a Kids Processional from 6:30 - 7:00.  Performances for all ages will continue from 7:15 and end with the Ball Drop at midnight.

First Night offers something for everyone: music, dance, arts & crafts, comedy, magic, face painting, puppets and much more.  Plus just walking around the mall, listening to the street musicians and enjoying the festive ambiance adds to the experience.
