The 21st Annual Virginia Film Festival will take place October 30-November 2. The theme of this year's festival will be Aliens with more than 150 films and speakers exploring the many facets of the theme from immigrants and outsiders to extraterrestrial beings. There will be over a dozen screenings of new films before their national releases.
One of the highlights will be a 70th anniversary broadcast of Orson Well's War of The Worlds and afterwards a screening of the 1953 film classic War of The Worlds by George Pal.
Rounding out the event will be numerous art exhibits, musical performances and gala parties organized around the alien theme.
