Pet Friendly Real Estate - A Charlottesville VA Home is A Great Choice For Dog Lovers

If you are looking for pet friendly real estate, a Charlottesville VA home is a great choice for dog lovers.family with dog

Charlottesville Virginia is a wonderful place to live with dogs.  There are a number of neighborhoods with larger lots which offer plenty of room for your pets to run and play.  We also have a selection of country homes which offer even more acreage and plenty of privacy.  Of course Charlottesville VA horse farms all have canine residents as well as equine.

The Charlottesville Albemarle Kennel Club provides dog lovers with the opportunity to get together with fellow enthusiasts.  The Club offers a variety of activities including a dog show, agility trial, obedience trial and handling classes.  Central Virginia  abounds with hiking trails which are perfect for an outing with your favorite four footed friend.

Whether you are looking for the perfect Charlottesville home to settle with one dog or are interested in a property where you can have a kennel, I can assist.

Tonight I am watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.  This is an event that I enjoy each year.  It is fun to watch old friends from my dog showing days, and of course there are the beautiful dogs.  Charlottesville Virginia pet friendly homes have a variety of different dogs breeds and my neighborhood is no exception.

What breed of dog lives at your house?

Charlottesville VA Homes For Sale - What Price Homes Are Selling?

There is a large inventory of of Charlottesville Virginia homes for sale.  If you are either buying or selling a home it is helpful to know what price homes are selling.

The graph will illustrate the year to date sales (as of June 1, 2009) of detached homes in Charlottesville Virginia and Albemarle County by price.

graph of Charlottesville-Albemarle year to date home sales by price

As you can see majority of homes sold have been in the $200,000-$300,000 and the $300,000-$400,000 price ranges, with the greatest number in $200,000-$300,000.  If you have a Charlottesville Virginia home for sale in one of these price points it will have the best chance of selling.  At the same time if you are buying a Charlottesville-Albemarle home in the $200,000-$400,000 price range you will have the most competition from other buyers.  One of the trends that we see illustrated in this graph is the fact that the largest buying segment is the first time homebuyer.  They do not have a home to sell before they can buy and they also have the incentive of taking advantage of the First Time Homebuyers TAx Credit plus the low interest rates.
