Charlottesville Virginia has several neighborhoods with golf courses, but if its mountain views that you want, you can't beat Old Trail.  The Old Trail Golf Club has a par 72, 18 hole course with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Old Trail is located in the foorhills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Crozet VA just outside of Charlottesville and also an easy commute to Waynesboro.

The Old Trail neighborhood is laid out with walkability in mind.  And of course you need something to walk to.  This is where the Old Trail Town Center comes in with its mix of small retail shops and restaurants. 

The Old Trail neighborhood has a variety of home sizes and prices to choose from.  There are townhouses and detached homes ranging in price from $239,000 to $1,065,000.  These include both resale homes and new construction.  Almost everywhere in the community has mountain views.

Charlottesville Virginia Real Estate - Old Trail

Yesterday I attended a Realtor event at The Old Trail golf community.  I was thrilled to hear how well this exciting new community is doing in the current real estate market.  We were informed that 60 homes have sold in Old Trail so far this year.

Old Trail is located in Crozet Virginia just to the west of Charlottesville.  this is the perfect location for families where one member works in Charlottesville and another in Waynesboro.  There are a variety of builders who are constructing a variety of home styles, sizes and price ranges.  There are townhomes and single family attached.  Prices start in the mid two hundreds and can go up to a million.

One of the unique draws of Old Trail is the walkable neighborhood.  The town center provides a destination with cafes, coffee shop, restaurants, office space and appartments overtop.  The golf course with its backdrop of mountain views offers a beautiful venue to enjoy the game.  There is also a pool complex.

Charlottesville Golf Communities - Old Trail

One of the newest of the Charlottesville golf communities is Old Trail.   You will have a hard time finding another golf course anywhere with Blue Ridge Mountain views to match those Old Trail.  This neighborhood is located in Crozet Virginia about a 10 minute drive west of Charlottesville at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.lady golfer

The Old Trail golf course is open to the public, but memberships are available as well.  This course has been voted Charlottesville's favorite place to play golf for two years.  The 18 hole course has multiple tees to accomodate all skill levels of golfers.  Old Trail's golf facility has a club house with a golf shop and grille.  There is also a pavillion which offers the perfect spot for weddings, private parties and events set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Additional Old Trail amenities incllude a pool complex, walking trails, park and soccer fields.

The Charlottesville golf community of Old Trail has been designed with the urban neighborhood concept in mind.  There is a Village Center within walking distance offering shops, dining, an ACAC fitness center, coffee shop, businesses and even appartment living.  In addition, area schools are close by.

Old Trail offers Charlottesville golf homes in a wide range of prices.  Since several builders are building in Old Trail, there is a variety of home styles as well.  Today, March 25, 2009 there are single family detatched homes for sale in Old Trail ranging in price from $389,915 to $1,290,000 and in square footage from 1,940 to 6,418 square feet.  There are also two attached homes in Old Trail listed today for $199,900 and $299,000.

A home in a Charlottesville golf community is a great choice for the serious golfer and an Old Trail home offers a great choice for the entire family.
