Lately I have had several clients looking for homes for sale in Charlottesville Virginia 55+ communities.
Charlottesville Virginia and the surrounding area has several 55+ active adult communities from which to choose.
University Village consists of condos and is located just west of Charlottesville minutes from downtown. This building has a wide range of amenities to enable adult homeowners to live an active lifestyle. There is a 75 ' heated pool, a fitness center, game room and an arts and crafts studio. In addition, University Village offers two dining rooms with excellent dining, a library, guest suites, chaffeur services and an undergroung garage plus some of the most spectacular mountain views in the area. There are currently 5 University Village condos listed for sale ranging in price from $299,900 - $385,000 and in size from 1346 sq ft to 1616 sq ft.
Branchlands is a community of attached homes conveniently located close to the 29 north shopping and down the street from the Senior Center. There are 8 Branchlands homes on the market today. They range in size from 892 sq ft to 2125 sq ft and in price from $187,000 to $309,000.
The Cottages at Jefferson Heights is a new 55+ development located on Pantops Mountain just east of the city of Charlottesville. This community is convenient to shopping, transportation, and medical services as well as being just minutes from downtown. There are currently 6 attached homes listed in this neighborhood ranging in price from $499,500 - $589,900 and in size from 2,631 sq ft to 3,046 sq ft.
The Villages at Nahor is another new active 55+ community and is located in Fluvanna County close to Lake Monticello. The neighborhood is about 20 minutes from Charlottesville but there is plenty of shopping and several restaurants located close by. The amenities which are currently under construction will include a heated pool, tennis court, putting green, Bocce courts, community gardens, fitness track, picnic area and tot lot for visiting children. There are detatched single family homes and duplexes available. Prices for the homes listed today in this community range from from $239,900 to $369,900.
Rosewood Village is located to the west of Charlottesville in Nelson County at Stoney Creek in the valley close to the Wintergreen Resort. This active 55+ community offers many of the features of universal design coupled with outstanding craftsmanship. There are 4 attched homes currently listed priced from $486,500 to $569,400 and ranging in size from 2193 sq ft to 2,868 sq ft.
Evergreen Village is in Standardsville Virginia which is in Greene County about 16 miles north of Charlottesville. This community is conveniently located next to the assisted care facility. There are 6 resale homes listed for sale in this neighborhood today. The homes are priced from $152,800 to $199,900.
As you can see if you are looking for a Charlottesville Virginia 55+ community you will have several to choose from in the Central Virginia area and in a fairly wide range of prices. All are close enough to enjoy the many cultural and sporting events that life in Charlottesville has to offer.
