Surviving Snowmageddon

Charlottesville Virginia is into day two of Snowmageddon. snow, ice and zero visibility

Snow continues to fall with wind contributing to the deteriorated conditions.  There is over a foot of snow on the ground with some sleet and freezing rain thrown in.  Roads are treacherous, businesses are closed and much of the area is without power.

If you are able to access the internet, here are links to a couple of sites to keep you updated on the latest road and power conditions.

Wow looks like the snow is falling-I am so glad I don't have to live in that, but we do have hurricanes to contend with; I guess we all have some bad weather in our areas.

I woke up this morning and my generator was on....ran for 5 hours so I can appreciate those who do not have power * heat * water * or NASCAR coverage on DirectTV

Just stopped by to let you, and anyone reading this, know that there's an ActiveRain Super Bowl Party going on. Stop by if you have a chance.

Bill - Read that good book in between shoveling.

Pat - Don't know which is worse, snow storms or hurricanes.  Both end up with trees down and power lost.

Wallace - you are so lucky to have a generator.

Russel - hope you enjoyed the super bowl.  Much of my area was with out power.  i was lucky enough to get mine back that night.
