Where is the Cheapest Gas in Charlottesville Virginia?

gas pump and dragonGas prices in Charlottesville, Virginia have been on a roller coaster ride.  Like many other parts of the country, people paniced when they heard Hurricane Ike was about to hit the Golf.  On Friday we saw gridlock atCharlottesville area gas stations.  The rumor circulated that gas would be $5.00 a gallon by Saturday.  Some station's parking lots were jammed with so many cars going in different directions that it was impossible to move.  The one station that I was keeping my eye on started the day with regular gas priced at $3.49 per gallon, by late morning this had gone up to $3.69 and the panic was on.  At 8:30 they had regular at $3.79 and the price at 2:00 a.m. was $4.69.  By Saturday morning prices had settled back to $3.97 a gallon for regular.  Hopefully the crisis has been averted, at least for now, and with the price of a barrel of oil down, I hope prices will settle back to the level of several days ago.

At times like this when gas prices are so volatile, we are all looking for the cheapest gas.  I am posting a link to a previous post Search Online For Cheap Gas.  Here you will find several internet sites where you can search for the lowest gas prices in your area as well as gas price widgets to put on your desk top.  Search Charlottesville, Virginia gas prices or the price anywhere else.

Prices for Charlottesville homes are an important issue as well for both buyers and sellers.  If you are considering a purchase of a Charlottesville, or Albemarle County home, you want to find the perfect home at the best price and I can help.  If you are thinking about selling a Central Virginia home, I would be happy to do a free CMA to show you what your home could bring in the current market.  We can meet and discuss how to make your home the one that sells in today's competitive market.
