After a long morning of looking at Charlottesville Virginia homes, it was time to find a kid friendly place for lunch. The perfect choice was Bodos on Emmet Street. At lunch time the restaurant is always packed with a mixture of moms and children, professionals and UVA students. Bodos, which is locally owned has three locations to choose from.
The restaurant specializes in bagels, which they make on premises. You can get almost any kind of sandwhich that you can think of on a bagel, as well as a variety of cream cheeses. The children had sesame bagels with plain cream cheese which was the favorite of miy children growing up. The adults enjoyed avocado on whole wheat, and ham and cheese on an everything bagel. Of course you have to try the caesar salad which just may be the best caesar that you have ever tasted.
With full stomachs and happy childern we were off for a successful afternoon of house hunting.

Hello Pam: Sounds like a great spot to get some healthy quick food! I did post about blue eggs for you back at my egg-citing blog, thanks for reading.
Pam - One of my fraternity brothers used to work at Bodos and he'd come back with a large bag of bagels for the house. I didn't really like bagels (back then) and almost never ate any. Now I wish I could go back in time!! I've been back to Bodo's a number of times since and it is as good as you say it is!!
Its nice to know when a jewish boy like myself needs a bagel in Charlottesville , VA, that I can find it. hope business is great
This place would be an instant hit with my kids... we've hit about every bagel place around- and they're always wanting to try a new one.
Mary - I will return and read about the blue eggs. Thanks for stopping by.
Tchaka - Its funny how as we grow our tastes change. Their bagels are the best.
James - All of their locations are always packed at lunch time and on the weekends from idmorning on.
Chuck - My kids loved it and now that they are grown my 23 year old has to go there every time she is back in town.
